Mapping Watershed Pollution in Whatcom County
The goal of project 1 was to identify watersheds in Washington watershed resource inventory area 1 (WRIA 1) at the most risk of mass wasting events and pollution from roads and agricultural zones, as well as to map annual average streamflow at streamgages. Skills learned during this project include:
Create an organized workspace for efficient data management
Automate geoprocessing tasks with ModelBuilder
Create standalone variables to store values in ModelBuilder
Use inline variable susbtitution to automatically name and rename geoprocessing tool outputs
Use basic vector analysis tools to modify the geometry and/or attributes of datasets: select, clip, intersect, merge, identity, erase
Use basic vector analysis tools to calaculate descriptive statistics: frequency, summary statistics
Create charts from attribute table fields
