The goal of project 3 was to conduct land cover classification and create NDBI/NDVI indices in the Salish Sea region as a group using remote sensing. Skills learned include:

• Acquire landsat satellite imagery and import it into ArcGISPro

• Create multispectral composites combining multiple imagery bands 

• Calculate multispectral indicies

• Use raster functions to create temporary layers extracting, compositing, and clipping imagery rasters

• Classify imagery to identify land cover types

• Explore spectral signatures of common land cover classes

• Create mosaic datasets to combine rasters
